*Warning: Avoid Make It Loud for SEO Services*
I'm compelled to share my disappointing experience with Make It Loud, a company I partnered with for SEO services for 15 months. Despite investing approximately $30,000 – $1,800 per month for SEO services and a one-time fee of $4,000 for website design – I saw absolutely no improvement in search engine rankings and no increase in call volume.
From the very beginning, I expressed concern about the obvious AI images on my website, featuring people with translucent heads, extra arms, and floating doors. I felt these images were fake and could make me lose credibility with potential customers. Unfortunately, Make It Loud's response to my repeated inquiries was dismissive, with their manager, Clif, claiming they didn't use AI photos and instead purchased stock images. This response raised further concerns about their attention to detail.
Other issues with their service included a blank portfolio page that remained unaddressed despite my providing photos to populate it, the use of spammy backlinks that drove spam to my site, and failure to provide monthly reports as promised. When I gained access to Google Search Console, I discovered that Make It Loud had set it up using their personal emails, withholding access from me.
A site analysis revealed that over 50% of my site's content was duplicate, copied, and pasted from other pages. When I brought this to Clif's attention, he downplayed the issue, stating that duplicate content wasn't a ranking factor and advising me not to do my own research. However, a subsequent Zoom consultation with a third-party expert exposed Make It Loud's shortcomings, revealing that my site was using a template identical to several other sites.
During the Zoom call, Clif claimed that they were in the process of rewriting all the pages to address the duplicate content issue, but the site map showed no updates had been made in 6-7 months. Make It Loud's management, including owner John, seemed more interested in deflecting criticism than addressing the issues. John's claim that duplicate content was an industry standard was particularly concerning.
Given these experiences, I strongly advise against partnering with Make It Loud for SEO services. Their approach seems focused on convenience rather than delivering quality results. I've since canceled my service and requested a refund, which they've yet to respond to adequately. Initially, John flat-out refused the refund, but after I provided evidence, he said he'd get back to me after discussing it with his team. It's been weeks, and I still haven't heard back.
If you're considering Make It Loud for your SEO needs, I urge you to exercise caution and thoroughly research their services before committing. Transparency, accountability, and a focus on quality should be non-negotiable for any reputable SEO company.
